In order to participate in Picturing Health and upload your photograph and personal data via the submission form, you must declare that you agree to these guidelines.
Doing so means that you have read, understood and agreed to the following:
You consent to Media Education using your submitted photograph(s) and data as part of Picturing Health, a partnership project run by Media Education and Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership which explores how people in Edinburgh experience health.
You understand that your photograph and associated title and description may be used in print and digital media including publications, websites, e-marketing, posters, banners, advertising, film, social media, teaching and research purposes relating to Picturing Health.
You understand that the online locations where your photograph, title and description may appear can be viewed throughout the world and that some other countries may not provide the same level of protection to the rights of individuals as EU/UK legislation provides.
You understand that your photograph, title and description may be kept permanently by others once it is published.
You have read and understood the conditions above and consent to your photograph, title and description being used as described.
How Media Education will use your personal data
Media Education is committed to processing personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The personal data collected via the submission form will be held securely by Media Education and will only be used for administrative purposes relating to Picturing Health.
You have the right to request to see a copy of the data Media Education holds about you and to request corrections or deletions. You can ask Media Education to stop using your submitted photograph, title and description at any time, in which case it will not be used in future publications but may continue to appear in publications already in circulation.
You have the right to lodge a complaint against Media Education regarding data protection issues with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

This project seeks to strengthen communities, build bridges and promote understanding of all of our experiences.
Media Education will not present content that promotes violence, cruelty or crime, or seeks to offend or injure others. Media Education reserves the right to use its judgement on this matter in the context of this project and is not obliged to include any submission that does not meet these content standards.
To submit a photograph to Picturing Health:
You must be 18 years of age or over.
You must be the photographer and sole copyright holder of your submission.
You must have the permission of all persons appearing in the photograph to use their image in connection with this project. Where anyone appearing is under 16 years of age, you must have permission from their parent or guardian. Permission means that they have given you clear, affirmative consent and that they understand the full context in which the image will be used.
