What does health mean to you?

Submissions to the print exhibition are closed, but you can still submit to the online gallery, which will remain open for contributions until August 2021.

Using any phone or camera, take a photograph that tells a story of what health means to you.

No photography experience is necessary, all you need is an idea.

Triggering Content

We recognise that when describing experiences of health and mental health, participants may submit images that could be triggering or distressing to some audiences. In these cases, we will include these images in the online gallery with an appropriate content warning.

Once you have your photo, just fill in the online submission form, upload your photo and that's everything!

We only need a photo, your name and a way to contact you, but if you want to add an optional title and a description, these will be included alongside your image in the online gallery.

Please let us know if you need any support to take part in this project. We want everyone in Edinburgh over the age of 18 to be able to participate.

We can provide language translators including BSL and a place to access the internet.

We can also offer support via phone, email or in-person to come up with an idea, take your photo and submit it.

If you would like to make use of this support, please contact Iain Shaw at Media Education by phone: 07305 048 090 or email: iain@mediaeducation.co.uk
